At Life Church Matlock our vision is to be God Centred, Spirit Empowered and People Focused.

 

God Centred:

Put God at the centre of everything we do, for He is worthy of all the praise, honour and glory.

​

Live our lives in worship, always looking to do what is pleasing to Him, based on His word, in service to Him and to one another.

​

Seek to grow deeper in our relationship with God, as we spend time with Him, day by day.

​

Matthew 6:23 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

 

 

Spirit Empowered:

Recognise our need to be transformed, by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

​

Allow the Holy Spirit to guide, help and empower us to do what God requires, giving us strength and peace in all circumstances.

​

Produce Godly fruit by the Holy Spirit’s power living and working within us.

​

Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

People Focused:

Grow a friendly, family church, focusing on people because we are all made by Him, in His image.

​

Know Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour, enabling every individual to grow in their relationship, through teaching and training, in a loving, caring environment.

​

Reach the people of Matlock and our wider community, to serve them and demonstrate the love of Jesus

​

Acts 2:42-47 - All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.

They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity, all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.

And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
